John M. Walmsley, 68, Minneapolis, died suddenly on Monday, January 20, 2020 near Traer.  John was born August 22, 1951 in Salina to Walter and Lois (Johnson) Walmsley.

He was a 1969 graduate of Minneapolis High School and he taught diesel mechanic classes at Salina Vo-Tech for two years.  John was the owner and operator or Walmsley Trucking for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his children, Jason (Amanda) Walmsley, Jennifer (Garet) Fitzpatrick, Kathy (Shelby Atwell) Walmsley, Tarin (Dave) Hauck, and Misha Walmsley; fiancé, Lucy Boucher; brother, Tom (Marla) Walmsley; sister, Kathy (John) Eck; and eleven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 23 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.  Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 24 at Antioch Baptist Church, Ada.  The family kindly requests no flowers and ask that memorials may be made to the Ada Community Building and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.
