Jettie F. Condray, 74, Minneapolis, died Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his home.  He was born March 31, 1945 near Miltonvale to Warren W. and Clara Genevieve (Fuller) Condray.

Jettie was a graduate of Miltonvale High School in 1963.  He then attended Kansas State University and in 1968 Jettie received a bachelor's degree in animal science; a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1970; and his master's degree in elementary education in 1987.  He served in the United States Army from 1970-72 where he served in the Army Special Services and participated in one-man rowing.  In 1971, he became a United States Champion in the quarter mile dash and in 1972 he was a participant in the United States Olympic Trials.  Jettie and Mary M. "Peg" Wilkey were united in marriage on November 11, 1972.  He taught school in Clay Center, Morganville, Minneapolis, and Topeka and most recently served as the curator for the Ottawa County Museum for 25 years.  Jettie was a longtime member of the Clay Center Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Jettie will be remembered as a kind and humble gentleman who had a love of history and a passion for preserving it.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Peg; sons, Chuck (Angelia), Jes (Laurisa), Joel (Amanda), and Kelly (Cindy); grandchildren, Justis, Lily, Knox, Kellen, Ally, Jake, Trevor, Tyler, Aaron, and Dusty; brother, Jerry (Doris) Condray; and sister, Janet Boss.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 25 at the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lamar.  Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00.  Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Museum, Clay Center Reformed Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Salina.
