Jean L. "Beans" Nelson, 63, Minneapolis, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Jean was born February 2, 1955 in Salina to Ben and Vada (Lott) Bronson.
She was a 1973 graduate of Minneapolis High School. Jean and Fred Nelson were united in marriage on August 17, 1974 in Minneapolis. She worked as a registered nurse up until the time of her death. Beans was one of a kind with a personality like none other.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ben; son, Josh; and brother, Rich.
Survivors are her husband, Fred; son, Joel Nelson; daughter Jessica Spears; mother, Vada; brothers, Jack and Paul Bronson; self-adopted son, Chris Johnson; and numerous other family and friends.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 4 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials may be made to Tammy Walker Cancer Center and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
