James H. "Cricket" Tremblay, 71, Clyde, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Cricket was born October 17, 1939 in St. Joseph, Kansas to Adelore and Eda M. (Provost) Tremblay.
He was a truck driver for Ideal Trucking, Topeka Motor Freight, and Jack Ransopher Trucking. Cricket also helped out many farmers and mowed and sprayed yards. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Cricket was preceded in death by his brothers Daniel and Ronald Tremblay.
Survivors include his children Tammy Knox of Minneapolis, Shawn Tremblay and his wife Janet of Benton, IL, and Ricky Tremblay of Navarre, FL; sister-in-laws Jackie Meiries of Topeka and Lucille Tremblay of Clifton; six grandchildren Autum, Cameron, and Devin Knox, Seth and Kylie Tremblay, and Jaycie Tremblay; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday at St. John the Baptist Church, Clyde. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joseph. A visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visitation in Clyde will begin at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the church where a Catholic Daughters Rosary will be at 4:00 P.M. and a prayer vigil at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the James Tremblay Memorial Fund which will be designated at a later date.
