Jada Kay Marie Ballou, 33, Concordia, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Salina Regional Health Center.  Jada was born May 25, 1991, in Clay Center.

Jada was a 2009 graduate of Minneapolis High School.

Although Jada was diagnosed with Friedreich Ataxia during her early adolescence and was confined to a wheelchair during the last part of her school years and entire adulthood, she never let it hold her back.  Jada continued to live life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment she could with family and friends.

Jada was preceded in death by her grandparents Verlin and Yolanda Goff, Richard Ballou, Maxine Ballou and several other family members.

Survivors are her parents, Marvin and Marie (Goff) Ballou, siblings, Megan Ballou and Tanner Ballou; her birth mother, Sharon Valeka; and a host of other family members.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 31, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.  A remembrance gathering and luncheon will follow at the Scout Hall, Markley Grove Park in Minneapolis.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the FUSE Foundation to be used for camps or the Minneapolis Public Library and may be left in care of the funeral home.
