Dr. Jack H. McClure, 95, Tescott, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born October 22, 1918 in Tescott to Lloyd and Myrtle (Ivy) McClure.
Dr. McClure was a graduate of the University of Kansas and the UMKC School of Dentistry. He had a dental practice in Minneapolis for many years. He was a World War II veteran – serving in the Philippines as a medic.
Dr. McClure was preceded in death by his wife, Jeri; and his brothers Mitch and Meade McClure; and great-nephew John McClure.
Survivors include his four nephews, Gilbert McClure and wife Marilyn of Kansas City, KS, Gordon McClure and wife Rosie of Tescott, Meade McClure, Jr. and wife Dee of Plano, TX, and Jack McClure and wife Lucinda of San Raphael, CA; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 1 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tescott Veterans Honor Park (in care of the Bank of Tescott) or to the donor's choice.
