Irene W. Duval, 82, Minneapolis, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born April 29, 1928 in Minneapolis to Walter and Wavie (Wolf) Wesley.

Irene attended Minneapolis High School and graduated in 1946. She then attended one summer at Barton County Community College in Great Bend. She married Jim Hanson in 1947 and two children James and Susan were born. She married Clem Duval on June 16, 1976.

Survivors include her husband Clem; children, James W. Hanson and Susan Giannini; sisters Dorothy Brown and Jean Olsson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. It was Irene's wishes to have her body cremated and that no services be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Minneapolis Volunteer Fire Department.

Irene was a very loving and gentle person who was very much loved by all.
