Obituary

Harvey Lee Stover, 83, Minneapolis, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1931 in Beverly to Lyle and Marie (Kissick) Stover.

Lee was a 1948 graduate of Beverly High School and he served in the United States Navy from 1949-1953. He was united in marriage with Darlene Wesley on June 15, 1952 in Ada. Lee worked at Vacu-Blast in Abilene for many years. After that he farmed the family ground for seven years before going to work at ElDorado in Minneapolis. Lee was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and he served as a Boy Scout Troop Master for many years. He was also an ISIS Shrine Clown for more than 20 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and country music.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, on June 4, 2006 and his brother Donald D. Stover.

Survivors include his children Leann Carrell and her companion Stan Issitt, Dennis Stover and his wife Marie, and Lynn Kindall and her husband Karmon; grandchildren Caleb and Sabin Carrell, Jamie Stover, Heather Weber, Lindsey Farmer, Somer Tucker, Corbin Pickerill, and Breanna Hernandez; four step-grandchildren Jeff Patterson, Justin, Farrell, Shayla Farrell, and Karson Kindall; and 30 great-grandchildren with two on the way.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday at the Abilene Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where the family will receive friends from 5-7. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or SRL Dog Rescue.
