Gracia L. Payne's Obituary
Gracia "Gracie" Lea Payne was born September 25, 1930. She passed away at the Good Samaritan Society - Minneapolis on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the age of 87.
She was raised in Delphos with her parents, Pearl "Pete" and Grace Chancy, graduating from Delphos High School, and was a member of the Delphos Presbyterian Church. She married James "Jim" Kline. Their children were Frank and Lea Ann. After James died in 1953, Gracie worked in Delphos as a telephone operator, then in the grocery business. She moved her family to Minneapolis in 1964 and became a dispatcher for the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department for 18 years. She was married to E.E. "Tony" Payne.
Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant sister, Constance, her husbands, Jim and Tony, and her sister, Sharon Harris.
She is survived by her children Frank (Sue) Kline, Lecompton; Lea Ann (Larry) Cleaver, Pleasanton; grandchildren, Carter (Christina) Kline, Lecompton, Matthew (Mary) Kline, Minneapolis, Jeremy (Jessica) Cleaver, Fort Scott; seven great grandchildren, a brother, Mike Chancy, and her nieces and nephews.
She will be interred at Delphos Cemetery.
