Obituary

Glorianne was born to Charles Francis and Hazel F. Schur in Minneapolis, Kansas on September 27, 1931. She attended grades 1 -12 in Minneapolis, Kansas where she graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1950. She was known for her beautiful singing voice. She sang for numerous funerals, weddings and other events. Glorianne received a scholarship to Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, where she was a vocal music major and soprano soloist in Bethany's performance of Handel's "Messiah." She was a member of Bethany's traveling choir and also performed with the Robert Shaw Chorale. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Bethany College in 1954. She taught music in Belleville, Kansas, where her students received "Best in State" for their performance. She taught music at Littleton High School in Littleton, Colorado, until her marriage to Kenneth Russell Neher on December 16, 1956. She was a music director for all grades in the Columbus, Georgia school system and also worked as a substitute teacher in Honolulu, Hawaii, Fort Sill and Lawton, Oklahoma school systems. When work began to get in the way of homemaking, she devoted her energy to raising her two children, being a loving wife to Kenny, and later, dedicating her time as Grandmother to her four grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Lee Anne and John E. Zeigler, III, and their son Noah Zeigler, Tulsa; a son, Steven Kenneth Neher, and his three children: Christoher Neher, Oklahoma City, David Neher, Lawton and Melissa Neher, Edmond, Oklahoma; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Fabio Cuadrado, Arvada, Colorado. Nieces and nephews are Michele Cuadrado and Mike Mendez of Arvada, Colorado; David and Denise Friedland, Aaron and Emma, of Larkspur, Colorado; David and Denise Cuadrado, Gianni and Mia of Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii; and Mark Cuadrado of Hollywood, California.
Her special cousins include; Bonnie File, Beloit, Kansas; Billie and Pete Carpenter, Prairie Village, Kansas; Beverly Casey, Las Vegas, Nevada; Max and Betty Joy Bottger, Lincoln, Nebraska; Bob and Joy Bottger, Roach, Missouri; and Jim Ekstrom, Littleton, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy Eugene Schur and Richard Charles Schur.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.
