Gladys M. Wilson, 93, Tescott, passed away Saturday, September 27 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.
The daughter of Ben and Cora (Dupes) Wilson, she was born December 18, 1914 in rural Tescott and was a lifetime area resident.
She worked as a clerk in the Tescott post office, owned and operated Tescott Recreation and cleaned the Bank of Tescott for many years. She was a life member of the Tescott American Legion Auxiliary, the Franklin Garden Club and tied quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tescott.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Chrisman of Minneapolis; 5 sisters, Laura Skocz of Omaha, NE; Marie Poole of Ashburn, VA; Delia Hamm and Shirley Carrier, both of Salina and Alma Christenson of Tescott; 2 grandchildren, Heidi Chrisman of Minneapolis and Todd Chrisman of Towanda and a great-grandson Seth Chrisman of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Cremation will follow the visitation. Inurnment service will be at 2 P.M. Sat. at Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. Memorials in lieu of flowers are to the Ottawa County Health Center or Tescott High School Alumni Association.
