Gay
Geisen
Aug 26, 1935 — Mar 3, 2025
Minneapolis
Gay E. Geisen left her earthly home on Monday, March 3, 2025, while living as a resident of the Ottawa County Health Center. Gay was born August 26, 1935, in Culver, KS.
She was united in marriage to Clayton B. Geisen on October 23, 1956.
Gay worked as a secretary for Robins Sand and Gravel for 16 years and then for Dub Johnson and Sons for 18 years. She loved working in the front office of each business because she was able to greet each person as they entered the business or answered the phone with a cheerful hello. She was the secretary at the Golden Wheel and enjoyed spending time organizing activities and sharing smiles, jokes and laughter with all who came in to eat each day. She worked part time at Meall Income Tax
Gay enjoyed reading books and she proudly served on the Library Board for several terms. She loved doing crossword puzzles and the more difficult they were the better she liked them. She crocheted quilts for many new babies and newlyweds. She enjoyed helping with the monthly birthday parties at the Good Samaritan. Her quick wit and smile were enjoyed by her family and friends.
Gay was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Flossie (Larson) Dewey; her three brothers Freddie, Dean and Gary; as well as her husband Clayton Geisen.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Geisen, of Atchison, KS; nephews Bob and Michael Dewey of Abilene and one niece Julie Dewhirst and one nephew, Jeff Dewhirst of Salina, KS
