Francis Rolon Temple, 87 Salina, KS passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. Francis was born on September 4, 1938, at Cheyenne Wells, CO.

He married Wanda on October 5, 1956, and happily married for 53 years. They raised five children. Francis and Wanda settled in Omaha, NE where he was employed at Mid-Continent Bottling Company for 20 years, then moving to Lincoln, NE in 2000 working in Lincoln Public Schools. Francis will be remembered for his endless love of family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping.

Francis moved back to Salina, KS in 2010 to be closer to family and friends. He then married Judy Thayer.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children from his first marriage, Rick Temple of May, OK, Alan Temple of Bennington KS, Doug (Jolene) Temple of Buchanan, ND, and Pam (Brad) Allen of Lincoln NE; 13 grandchildren and 18 great Grandchildren; stepchildren, Alan, Terry, and Kay Thayer; and brother, Raymond (Mary) Temple.

He was preceded by death by his first wife, Wanda; son, Ronald in 1964; parents; eight brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., Friday, February 6 at the Tescott United Methodist Church, 201 N. Minnesota Ave., Tescott, KS 67484. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial with military honors will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
