Francis Lee Hoffman, 95, Minneapolis, died Saturday, January 21, 2012.

He was born in Riley County (1/2mile south of the Sherman Schoolhouse) on December 29, 1916. He went to school at Sherman and graduated in 1931. He then went to Leonardville High School and graduated in the spring of 1935. Lee worked for various farmers until 1938. At that time he married Marjorie Taylor and he farmed for himself. In 1945 he sold his ground and went to work for the Bohnenblust John Deere Dealership. In 1952 Lee started doing electrical work and in 1980 he retired and moved to Truth or Consequence, NM. They traveled and did a lot of fishing until Lee moved back to Kansas in 1987.

Survivors include his daughter LaVerna Cloud; and five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

It was Lee's wishes to not have any services. There will be a visitation from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis.
