Fern I. Willars, 91, Lawrence, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Fern was born December 10, 1926 in Cloud County to Carl A. and Hazel (Lundy) McHenry.

Fern was a 1944 graduate of Delphos High School. She and Jack Willars were united in marriage on October 27, 1944 in Delphos. Fern worked at Wallace's Department store before being employed at the Ottawa County Bank. After the two local banks merged, Fern became a loan officer and vice president before her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Jack; daughter, Linda Ann Larman; siblings, Dale, Paul Dean, and Mark McHenry and Mary Wealand.

Survivors are her daughter, Janet Durkin and husband Jim of Lawrence; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 29 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
