Evelyn C. Doering, 96, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born Evelyn Cecilia Clark on June 19, 1927, in Cloud County, to Joseph and Margaret (Mihm) Clark.

Evelyn was a graduate of Minneapolis High School and on February 15, 1947, she was united in marriage with Harold L. Doering. Evelyn was a hard-working farm wife with a contagious laugh.  She enjoyed sewing and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son-in-law, Larry Weis; brothers, Paul, Richard, and Charles; and longtime dancing partner, Clyde Sample.

Survivors are her children, Cecilia Weis, Robert Doering, Gene Doering and his wife, Verla, and Dave Doering and his wife, Rhonda; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, August 6, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 7 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis.  Private graveside will be in the Glasco Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the church, Wells Community Building, or the Minneapolis High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation and may be left in care of the funeral home.
