Esther F. Hogg, 93, Minneapolis, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Esther was born September 30, 1917 in Ottawa County, Kansas to Claude and Emma (Rothfuss) Gary.
She was united in marriage with Arthur M. Hogg on May 3, 1941 in Benton, Arkansas. Esther was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, V.F.W. Post #3201, and the Rural Carriers Auxiliary.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband on August 13, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Frank and Layton Gary.
Survivors include her son Gary Hogg and his wife Colleen of Minneapolis; her brother Dean Gary and his wife Sandra of Wichita; three grandchildren Anthony Hogg, Mike Grindstaff and his wife Shelley, and Charlene Grindstaff; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis with Pastor April Wegehaupt officiating. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church to be used for Education.
