Esther May Finkbiner, 76, passed away Friday March 22, 2024, at the North Central Kansas Medical Center, Concordia, KS. She was born November 4, 1947, in St. Francis KS, to Robert Curtis and Elsie Pauline (Straub) Miller.

Esther graduated St. Francis community high School in 1965, and then joined the Navy June 17, 1966. She was stationed at Camp Lejeune N.C. She was Honorably discharged July 17, 1969, after serving three years. While at Camp Lejeune, she was a Medical Assistant at the Naval Hospital.

After leaving the Navy, Esther met Carl, and they Married August 3, 1973. To this marriage they had three boys, Charlie, Curtis and Chris. Esther began her nursing career going to Beloit to receive her RN degree. She would bring the boys home Daylight Donuts and Taco's. Esther worked for Park Villa in Clyde for many years and then worked part time at Walmart in Concordia. Esther had many hobbies - she loved to garden and can, loved raising animals, a Bear named Sis, Coyote, iguana, raccoon's, many dogs and cats.

Esther was preceded in death by her mother and father; a sister, Ann Miller Wright; and her husband, Carl on January 11, 2014.

Survivors are her sons, Charles and Angela Finkbiner Delphos KS, Curtis and Katie Finkbiner of Clifton, and Christian Finkbiner and Jenna Celsi of Clifton; and stepchildren, Scott and Betty Finkbiner of Clifton and Terri and Bill Bloomfield of Clifton; her brother, Sam Miller; sister, Janice Miller and Robert Apgar, Doris and Lenny Fleckenstein, and Toni and Lex Landenberger, sister-in-law Marjorie and Steve Pfister; brother-in-law, Elmer and Tanis Finkbiner; sister-in-law, Jana Finkbiner and Mary Finkbiner; and  brother-in-law Frank Dauksch.  She is also survived by lots of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her cat, Luna.

A service and luncheon, provided by family will be held at the home of Charlie and Angela Finkbiner,1283 Windmill Rd, Delphos KS on Friday April 19th, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. Then On Saturday April 20, 2024, at 1:00 P.M., a graveside service will take place at the St. Francis Cemetery, St. Francis, KS.
