Erma L. Nelson, 91, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis.
She was born June 12, 1918 at Culver, Kansas. She taught at Pawnee Gap School until her marriage to Amos A. Nelson on September 6, 1938. They made their home at Brookville, later moving to Culver, and then settled on their farm at Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos, in 1994, and her brother, Darwin McCall, in 2010.
Survivors include a daughter, Emily Gilbert; a grandson Adam Gilbert and a great-grandson; three brothers: Dan McCall of Minneapolis; Duane (Edna Mae) McCall of Bavaria and Dale (Marlene) McCall of Wexford, Pennsylvania and a sister-in-law Alberta McCall of New Cambria.
The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, the Ottawa County Fair Association or the Ottawa County Health Center.
