Erma L. Johnson's Obituary
Erma L. Johnson, 98, Delphos, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. She was born June 30, 1919 in Miltonvale to Rolla and Retta (Shepard) Maitlen.
She married Durel A. Johnson in February 1935 and had three sons, Darrell D., Gary L. and Ronald. All their married life was spent in the Lamar and Delphos areas.
Erma worked on the farm with her family and later at the Delphos Rest Home. Family was the most important thing to her and she enjoyed visiting. During the winter she and Durel spent time in their motorhome and she never missed a week of the Kansas State Fair.
Loved by all, she will be missed. She leaves to mourn her children, Gary Lee (Pam), Ronald (Julia); daughter-in-law, Barbara Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Durel; son, Darrel D.; grandson, Tony; great-great-granddaughter, Sophia; and sisters, Ethel Majors, Lille Mae Wright, and Margie Maitlen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 30 at the Delphos First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials may be made to the Delphos First Presbyterian Church or Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis.
