Doug Baccus, 60, Ada, went to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Doug was born January 8, 1953 in Salina to Kay and Mary (Bradbury) Baccus.

He was a master mechanic and machinist and worked for various auto dealers and repair shops; most recently Baccus Repair in Ada. Doug was a longtime member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Ada and he was most recently a member of Harvest Ministries where he was recently ordained as a pastor.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Linda; father; brother Larry; and step-son Christian Tucker.

Survivors include his wife Brenda; mother Mary Baccus; son Jason Baccus and his wife Bobbi; daughter Mindy Baccus and her fiancé Eric Harkness; step-daughter Chelsey McCullick; sister Jolene Lantz and her husband Greg; sister-in-law Janice Baccus; one grandson Ashton Baccus; and three step-grandchildren.

A celebration of Doug's life will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ada. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-8. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467 to help to assist with expenses.
