Dorthy A. Schoeller – 89, Minneapolis, died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Salina Regional Health Center.
Dorthy was born September 22, 1920 in Ogallah, Kansas to Oscar and Alice (Denny) Ruppe. She was united in marriage with Fred Schoeller on March 29, 1944 in Hill City. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. McClure and she was the bookkeeper for the family ranching, farming, and oil business. Dorthy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Minneapolis.
Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband Fred and her daughter Patty Ganjanathavat.
She is survived by her son Michael Schoeller of Branson, Mo and her daughter, Betty Aloyo of Minneapolis; sisters Lola Clark and Aleta Ruppe both of Evans, CO; sister-in-law Ida Schoeller Carpenter of Phillipsburg; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Minneapolis with Pastor April Wegehaupt officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
