Dorothy Lou Ponton's Obituary
Dorothy Ponton, 86, Delphos, died Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born January 9, 1932 in Cloud County to Louie and Mimie Pounds.
Dorothy and Harry Lee Ponton were united in marriage on February 21, 1952. She worked at the Delphos Attendance Center for 27 years as a cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ponton; and five siblings.
Survivors include her children, Rod Ponton (Mary Beth), Rhonda Doering (Dave), and DeLisa Merry (Rick); 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and two sisters, Tresa Steinbrock and Sylvia Shaffer.
It was Dorothy's wishes that no services be held. The family requests no flowers and that memorials be given to St. Jude's or the Ronald McDonald House and may be mailed to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
