Obituary

Dorothy B. Marler, 92, Minneapolis, formerly of Delphos, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Ottawa County Health Center where she had resided since 2005.
Mrs. Marler was born November 22, 1915 in rural Mitchell County, Kansas to Silas and Ivy (Giles) McClintock.
On November 1, 1934 she married Clem T. Marler. They farmed near Delphos and also ran a custom combining operation for more than 50 years. He preceded her in death in 2002. Together they were blessed with two children – Max (Phyllis) Marler of Minneapolis, Kansas and Marilyn (Jerry) Hearnen of Peoria, Arizona; five grandchildren, Pamela (Mike) Skidmore, Tamera (Michael) Cedillo, Julie (David) Golden, Kelly (Jerolyn) Hearnen, and Ryan (Becky) Hearnen; and 10 great-grandchildren, Michael Marler, Joey and Sammy Skidmore, Danielle and Taylor Cedillo, Jude Golden, Kody, Hannah, and Hattie Hearnen and Wyatt Hearnen.
Dorothy was a devoted farm wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her love of cooking and baking for family and friends. She was a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Delphos Presbyterian Esther Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Oral Murray; an infant sister, Delpha; and two brothers, Vernon and Gordon McClintock.
