DELPHOS -- Donald Duane Spear, 53, rural Delphos, died Saturday, April 26, 2008. He was born Dec. 18, 1954, in Concordia. He was a trucker and farmer. Survivors include his wife, Andrea,;and daughters, Barbara and Clara, all of the home; his father, Darreld Spear of Glasco; brothers, Joel of Jamestown and Mark of Concordia; sisters, Mary Riley of Concordia, Gail Gilbert and Linda Scheuerman, both of Nelson, NE, and Delilah Mendenhall of Salina. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, First Presbyterian Church, Delphos. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment in Delphos Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the church or American Cancer Society. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. The casket will remain closed at the church.
