Obituary

Donald Dixon Postlethwaite, 78, passed away on May 6, 2011 in Colorado Springs after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born October 15, 1932 in Delphos, KS to Richard Arlon and Edna Laura (Meridith) Postlethwaite, who do not survive.
Don worked on the family farm, played football for and graduated from Kansas State University, was a Korean War veteran of the US Navy and had a successful corporate career in the agriculture industry. He was a 14 year resident of Colorado Springs.
Don married Carolyn Kay Casteel March 22, 1976. He is survived by Carolyn; daughters, Marcia (Dwight) Andersen, Michele (Bruce) Rayno and Julie (Jon) Hart; sons, Mitchell Postlethwaite and Richard (Barbara) Lantz; grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Wallace, Samantha Andersen, Brady Hart, Morgan Rayno, Maggie Hart, Megan Rayno and Lucy Hart; great-grandchildren, Capri and Ava Wallace; brother, Arlon (Eleanora) Postlethwaite; and sister, Darlene (Richard) Kirkland. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Postlethwaite.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12 from 6-8 pm at Cappadona Funeral Chapel, 1020 E. Fillmore St., Colo. Spgs, CO. The Funeral service is Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 am at First Christian Church, 16 E. Platte, Colo. Spgs., CO 80903; burial will be in the Hall Cemetery, rural Delphos, KS following a visitation at Wilson Family Funeral Home in Minneapolis, KS on Monday, May 16 from 9-10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the First Christian Church.
