Dolores May Gawith, 87, Salina, died Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was born September 3, 1928 to William and Grace (Pierce) Stanley.

Dolores was a voracious reader. She also enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, collecting angels, watching NASCAR, and KU basketball. She was a member of the Henry Township Chapter of the American Heart Association and drove all over the county requesting donations to benefit those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Randy Gawith; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her children Steve (Susan) Gawith, Mike (Barbara) Gawith, Larry (Jodi) Gawith all of Salina, and Debbie (Mike) Meier of Beloit; grandchildren Emily Grace, Jessica Blanche, Audra Lorraine, Grant Michael, Sara Elizabeth, Justin Randall, William Paul, Jessica James, Lacey Swetson, Christopher Alan, Cole Anthony; and great-grandchildren Matthew Gawith, Daygen Randall, Jocelynn Rose, Ethan James, Lucas James, Louden James, Justin Swetson, and Brooklyn Swetson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5-7. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Minneapolis Public Library or Salina Public Library.
