Delorus "Dody" E. Caudill – 79, Delphos, Kansas passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Salina Regional Health Center.
Delorus was born September 8, 1930 in Eaton, Ohio to George and Mildred (Reese) Meek. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delphos for many years. Delorus worked as a Certified Nurses' Aide at the Delphos Rest Home and Good Samaritan Society Minneapolis for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Leland "Sam" C. Lister; her second husband Meredith S. Caudill; her son Robert Lister; her brothers George and James Meek; her sister Georgia Sauer; her grandson Charlie Palmer; and a niece Susie Sauer.
Delorus is survived by her children Becky Palmer and her husband John of Delphos; Randy Lister and his wife Sharon of Delphos; Rhonda Garcia and her husband Andy of Salina; Scott Caudill; her step-son Dwight Lister and his wife Diane of Chapman; her brother Bob Thomas and his wife Gail of Tarpon Springs, Florida; her sister Mollie Tober of Dayton, Ohio; her grandchildren Khan Steel, Christopher Palmer and his wife Danielle, Cassandra Anderson and her husband Joel, Brenda Rupert and her husband Mitch, Angela Sidener and her husband Jeff, Jen Lister, Kaleb Tyler, Karl-Heinz Tyler, Dustin Lister, and Danielle Lister; her great-grandchildren Madilyn, Katilyn, and Bradyn Weber; and Caige Palmer.
Graveside services will be at 2 P.M., Saturday at the Delphos Cemetery with Michele McHenry, C.L.P. officiating. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Delorus Caudill Memorial Fund which will be designated later and may be left in care of the funeral home.
