Delbert "Deb" C. Werries, 82, Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at his residence.
Deb was born October 6, 1927 in Tescott, Kansas to Karl and Laura (Hansen) Werries. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. On September 1, 1950, he was united in marriage with Twila Lee in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a carpenter for Breon – Williams Construction for many years. Deb was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tescott.
Deb was preceded in death by his brothers Leland Ernest and Melvin "Bud" Werries.
Survivors include his wife Twila of the home; sister-in-law Mary Louise Corman of Neosho, MO; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Per his request, Deb's body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical Center. No memorial services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and may be left in care of Wilson Shields Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467
