Donald "Dean" Plinsky was born on October 24, 1925, to Earnest and Hazel "Shafer" Plinsky. He left to be with his Savior on July 7, 2018.

Dean attended Beverly High School and graduated in 1943. He took great honor serving his country as a Merchant Marine from 1944–1946. He married the love of his life, Doris Kissick, on May 1, 1949, in Westfall, KS. Dean was a lifelong farmer, and it was his love. It could safely be said that he was truly happiest when working the land or tending to his cattle.

Dean was a member of the American Legion of Tescott, KS. He was also a member of the Beverly Community Church where he served in various capacities, including deacon and adult Sunday School teacher.

Dean loved reading his Bible daily and any time he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dean is survived by his loving wife Doris of 69 years, his two sons Don (wife Jo) of Grand Island, NE, and Ron (wife Carol) of Wichita, KS, along with 5 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Siblings include his brother Darrell (wife Wanda) of Wichita, KS, and sister Carolyn Hansen (husband Gilbert) of Lindsborg, KS.

Funeral services will be held at the Beverly Community Church in Beverly, KS, on Wednesday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Pastor Jon Harvey will officiate. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.
