David D. Lott, 54, Minneapolis, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born July 22, 1960 in Salina to Donald and Dica (Atchley) Lott.
Dave was raised in Minneapolis and was a 1978 graduate of Minneapolis High School. He never met a person that he didn't greet with a smile. Dave did custom harvesting for over 20 years and farmed for 10 years. He was known as a hard worker but he played as hard as he worked. Dave was the greatest dad to the greatest son, Hayden. He was an avid K-State fan. Dave and Hayden went to all the K-State home and away football games this past year, starting with the 2013 Fiesta Bowl and ending with the 2013 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
He was preceded in death by his mother Dica; step-mother Yvonne Hoge; and his sister Ronda Kime.
Survivors include his wife Christa (Hayden) Lott; son Hayden Lott; father and step-mother Don and Leona Lott; brothers Steve and Mark Lott; step-sister Sandra Cole; step-brother Ken Hoge; father and mother-in-law James C. and Clarice Hayden; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In accordance with Dave's wishes his body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 15 at the Bennington Bible Church, 824, N. Nelson, Bennington. The family requests that attendees wear their favorite K-State attire. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Hayden Lott for an education fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
