Darrell Lee Allison, 78, Salina, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, in Wichita surrounded by his family. He was born March 16, 1947, in Minneapolis, to Richard K. and Mildred (Six) Allison.

Darrell shadowed his father at work which sparked his love for cars. He then worked for Saline County Road and Bridge for 39 years – becoming one of the longest standing county employees.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen; son, Donnie; and brother Richard.

Survivors are his partner, Sandra; children, Ali, Ami, Angie, Darren, April, and Daniel; brother, Dennis; sister, Diane; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandsons.

A celebration of Darrell's life will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 7, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E. Neal Ave., Salina, KS 67401. Memorials may be made in Darrell's name to the charity of your choice.
