Daniel W. McCall, 84, Minneapolis, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. He was born March 26, 1927 in Culver to Seba G. and Alice (Bean) McCall.

He was a graduate of Culver High School and he served in the United States Navy. Dan was a rural mail carrier for 35 years and he was also a farmer. His memberships included the Culver United Methodist Church and the Tescott Lions Club.

Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Erma Nelson; brother Darwin McCall; and his former wife Dody McCall.

Survivors include his sons, David McCall and his wife Rita of Pomona and Alan McCall of Minneapolis; his daughters, LeeAnn Plunkett and her husband Larry of Minneapolis, Mary Kay McCall and her husband George of Andover, and Sally Andrews and her husband Gary of Hillsboro; his brothers, Duane McCall of Bavaria and Dale McCall of Wexford, PA; nine grandchildren, Danielle Fienhage, Joe Schur, Jennifer Briggs, Brian McCall, Brent McCall, Gina Bergin, Lora Andrews, Alyson McCall, and Addyson McCall; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Culver United Methodist Church or the Ottawa County Health Center.
