Obituary

Dale H. Meyer, 90, Glasco, Kansas, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis, Kansas. Dale was born September 13, 1920 near Cawker City, Kansas to William F. and Clara M. (Moos) Meyer.
Dale served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1945. He was united in marriage with Donna (Wade) Mondt on July 16, 1971 in Minneapolis. Dale worked in maintenance at the Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center. He was also a farmer and stockman and worked in construction. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glasco, V.F.W. Post #3201 in Minneapolis, the 44th Infantry Division, the 324th Infantry Regiment, and the Glasco Community Foundation.
Dale was preceded in death by two sons Henry in 1968 and Bill in 1977. He was also preceded in death by his wife Donna in 1990; the mother of his three children, Lois (Copeland) Meyer in 1999 and his sister Norma Meyer in 2005.
Survivors include his daughter Janice McClellan and her husband Craig of Glasco; step-children William Mondt, Jr. and his wife Linda of Salina, Alvena Mondt of Hoisington, Ada Jane Leake and her husband Frank of Wagner, OK, and Marilyn Hoesli and her husband Doug of Salina; two grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Glasco. Burial will full military honors will be in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Memorials may be made to the church or the Nicol Home and may be left in care of the funeral home.
