Cora B. Herrington, 92, Minneapolis, Kansas, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis, Kansas.
Cora was born September 1, 1917 in New Cambria, Kansas to Benjamin and Cora (Anders) Nunn. She worked at Crestview and Good Samaritan nursing homes as a nurses' aide. After her retirement she volunteered at the Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of the Culver United Methodist Church.
Cora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim; five brothers; three sisters; and a grandson.
She is survived by her daughter Wanda Bradley and her husband Ben; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister Lavina Daily and her sister-in-law Millie Nunn.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 11: 00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center Long Term Care and may be left in care of the funeral home.
