Clement D. Duval, 84, Minneapolis, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. He was born November 9, 1928 in Fargo, North Dakota to Joseph E. and Bernice (Cossette) Duval.

Clem attended school in Fargo until 1946 and then he enlisted in the Army Air Corp where he did basic training in Texas. He then transferred to the South Pacific to Guam. In 1949 he returned to the processing base in California and then transferred to Great Falls, Montana. He was honorably discharged in 1949 and he then joined the Air Force Reserves and was recalled to duty in 1950. He was honorably discharged in 1951 and he returned to Reserve duty for nine years as Sgt.

Clem and was united in marriage with Betty Weylan in 1952 and they had two children, Roxanne and Steven. Betty passed away and he married Irene Wesley Hanson on June 11, 1976.

He worked as a mechanic and air conditioning specialist from 1955 to 1974 in California. Clem then worked as a mechanic and in construction in northern Kansas. From 1983 to 1991, he worked for Ottawa County as a bridge foreman and in the shop.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty and Irene; and his son Steven Duval.

Survivors include his daughter Roxanne Bussard and her husband Steve; step-children James Hanson and Susan Giannini; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

It was Clem's wishes that his body be cremated and that no services be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ottawa County Fire Department for new equipment.
