Obituary

Charles Clayton Case, 76, Minneapolis, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at his home. He was born December 22, 1940 in Salina to Charles and Augusta (Samuelson) Case.

Chuck was a graduate of Salina Central High School and he served in the United States Army. On April 6, 1978 he was united in marriage with Nancy Windholz in Minneapolis.

Chuck was a self-employed concrete worker for many years. He later worked for the Ottawa County Noxious Weed and was a motor grater operator until retiring in 2002. Chuck loved to fish and hunt and he was a member of the American Legion Post 62 in Salina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy; brother Clyde; and brother-in-law, Wade Cross.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy of the home; Charles Case, Jr. and his wife Brandi of Salina, Julie Whitaker and husband Bill of Salina; Mandie Case and Brian Case both of Minneapolis; brother, Clarence Case and wife Dixie of Olathe; sisters, Charleen Braden and husband Frank of Salina and Carol Christian and husband Terry of Tescott; grandchildren, Jourdan, Joseph, Chantel, Michael, Daniel, Andrew, Justin, and Olivia; great-granddaughter, Charleigh Rae; sister-in-law, Carol Case Daniels; and special nephews, Kirby and Kelly Case.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 7 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will follow in Culver Union Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 62, Salina.
