Carroll O. Righter's Obituary
Carroll O. Righter, 93, Delphos, died Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. He was born November 27, 1921, the only child of Orval and Ollie (Marler) Righter.
Carroll served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. He was united in marriage with Frances Virginia Stauffer on September 14, 1943 in Delphos. They farmed south of Delphos for many years before moving to Minneapolis in 2006. Carroll was a longtime member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Delphos and the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, on December 2, 2009.
Survivors include his son Robert Righter and his wife Leslie of Fountain Valley, CA and Marcia Hauck and her husband Dana of Delphos; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Delphos. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where a prayer vigil and rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Cemetery Fund or the Nicol Home.
