Carrie E. (Reed) Smith, 34, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Carrie was born September 11, 1978 in Salina to Randall and Sherry (Trumble) Reed.

She attended both Minneapolis High School and Cloud County Community College. Before her illness, Carrie worked as a C.N.A. and C.M.A. at Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her brother C.J.; and grandparents James and Jean Trumble and Clayton Reed.

Survivors include her children Catira and Rico Smith; fiancé Michael Walle; parents Randy Reed and his companion Juanita Wilkinson; mother Sherry Reed; brother Casey Reed; grandmother Betty Reed; and cousins Ryan Hayes (Jaime), Tara Falconio (Rob), Julie Murphy (Kyle), Wendy Sexton (Scott), Travis Reed (Kelli), Rebecca and Alex Trumble, Grady Trumble (Amy), Jesse Trumble, Lindsey Morrical, and Katherine and Nathan Trumble.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in care of the funeral home to assist with expenses.
