Carolyn L. Henderson, 73, of Minneapolis, Kansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 20, 2016. She was born January 9, 1943 in Abilene, Kansas to Oliver Dean and Reva M. (Smith) Seymour.

She attended school in Solomon and Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1961. On May 27, 1961 she was united in marriage to Harvey L. Henderson at the First Baptist Church in Minneapolis. They spent their married life in Minneapolis.

Throughout her lifetime, Carolyn worked at the Parker Hotel, Eldorado Motor Corporation, Ottawa County Health Center and as a daycare provider and EMT. She loved her grandkids, great grandkids, riding her scooter and Mickey Mouse.

Survivors include: daughters, DeLisa (Rance) Steinbrock, Rebecca Williamson and Deana (John) Sanchez; son, Harvey Jr. (Lisa) Henderson; grandchildren, Ally (Tim), Katelin, Erin, Carrie (Noah), Preston (Genelle), Kendra (Daylin), Keaton, Keagon, Keircey, Trenton, Isaiah, and Kaden; great-grandchildren, Decklin, Tatum, Charlee, and Harley; three brothers; five sister in-laws; and a brother in-law.

She was proceeded in death by: her husband; parents; son, Robert LaVaughn; brother, Ernest Seymour; and sister, Cheryl Kovar.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday, July 24 at the Wilson Family Funeral Home in Minneapolis with the family receiving 5-7 p.m.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 25 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Service Corp. for the Hometown Carnival or The Lucky Fin Project.
