Betty J. Davis, 87, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born in Harrison, AR on December 1, 1928 to Ora F. and Lona V. (Robinson) Robbins.

Betty attended schools in Bergman, AR and was a 1945 graduate of Bergman High School. She was united in marriage with George W. Davis on December 30, 1944 in Harrison. George and Betty moved to Minneapolis in 1956 and became actively involved in the community. Betty was a sales coordinator for ElDorado for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Eastern Star, Ladies of the Roundtable, Minneapolis Country Club, Minneapolis Chamberettes, and numerous card clubs. Betty and George were leaders for church youth groups and 4-H. They both enjoyed camping whenever possible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George on December 19, 1993; and great-grandson Oliver George Schapaugh.

Survivors include her children, Lona Dittmar and husband Russell, Pam Lake and husband Don, and George "Bud" Davis and wife Terry; 10 grandchildren Michal Dittmar Franko, Weylin (Kristin) Dittmar, Jeffrey (Beth) Hanes, Ashley (Adam) Barmann, Keith (Kelli) Lake, Robert (Molly) Lake, Gary Lake, Lori (Grant) Davis-Denny, Jami (Adam) Schapaugh, and Matthew (Eleanor) Davis; sixteen great- grandchildren; and special friend Roxanne Simoneau.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5-7. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or the Ottawa County Health Center Long Term Care Unit.
