Barbara Ann Crosson, 81, Minneapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was born November 26, 1933 near Minneapolis to Lester and Mildred (Runft) Kindall.

Barbara was a lifelong resident of Ottawa County and was a graduate of Minneapolis High School in 1951. She and Lon Dean Crosson were united in marriage on February 3, 1952 at Wells.

Barbara was known for her love of God. She was a member of the Hall Wesleyan Church, E.H.U., Quest Club, and she loved attending Donut Church on Tuesday mornings.

She was the ultimate farmer's wife. She drove the tractor preparing the soil for planting, drove a truck hauling grain to town, cleaned chickens, canned many fruits and vegetables, and cooking relentlessly to nourish her farm family.

Barbara loved to cook and sew. She was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. She was known statewide for her judging of foods and clothing at many county fairs in the area as well as the Kansas State Fair. One of her proudest accomplishments was being awarded Grand Champion with her apple pie at a recent Ottawa County Fair.

Over the past several years, Barbara was consumed with making countless dozens of bears. Each had a special story and were various sizes and shapes. She loved to display them and loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's faces when they received one as a gift.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Martin; and brother Evan Kindall.

Survivors include her husband Lon Dean of the home; children Russell Crosson and wife Julie of Roswell, GA, Curtis Crosson and wife Joni of Hutchinson, Kent Crosson and wife Suzy of Minneapolis, and Becky Hilgenkamp and husband Rusty of Arlington, NE; daughter-in-law Missy Crosson of Franklin, TN; brothers Leland "Chuck" Kindall and Neal Kindall both of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; 14 great-grandchildren and two "in the oven"; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 25 at the Hall Wesleyan Church, rural Delphos. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hall Wesleyan Church, Ottawa County Health Center, or the Ottawa County Fair Board.
