Avis K. Baugh, 87, Bennington, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Society, Minneapolis.
Avis was born May 27, 1921 in Ottawa County, Kansas to Marshall and Mary (Horn) Constable. She was united in marriage to Max D. Baugh on October 4, 1941 in Salina, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2001. Avis was a homemaker as well as working at the Bennington IGA Store. She also was an Avon representative for many years. Later on she provided the Minneapolis Messenger with the Bennington News items.
She was also preceded in death her parents; by a son, Lynn; and two brothers, Victor and Howard Constable.
Avis is survived by her sons, Scotty Baugh and wife Redonda of Dodge City, Glenn Baugh and wife Dee of Minneapolis, and Greg Baugh and wife Judy of Salina; her brother, Oliver Constable of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Church or the Bennington Ambulance Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
