Obituary

Arthur E. Copple, 94, Minneapolis, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. He was born October 14, 1920 near Lamar to Arthur A. and Grace (Kiser) Copple.

Art served as a Sgt. in the United States Army from 1942-1945. He started his career working for Blair Plumbing in Concordia. He then worked for Buckley Inc. out of Wichita. Art's first job he had with Buckley's was the plumbing in the Minneapolis High School. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.

Art was united in marriage with Elva Maxine Alderson on March 17, 1947 and she preceded him in death on March 29, 1985. He married Leola Mick on January 16, 1989 and she passed away on October 17, 1995.

Besides his wives, he was also preceded in death by his step-son Don Goddard; brothers Arthur "Paul", Warren, Loyd, Allen, Donald, and Raymond; and sisters Ruth, Gladys, and Helen.

Survivors include his children Roger and Vicki Copple, John and Kris Copple, and Gary and Ruth Copple; step-sons Ron and Alice Goddard, Mike and Lee Ann Mick, Steve and Karen Mick, and Norman and Betty Mick; and step-daughter Sharon and Willard Ames. Art was proud to be host to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 Wednesday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. at the Delphos Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center or the Nicol Home.
