Amaryllis Y. Hickman's Obituary
Amaryllis Y. Hickman, 85, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was born August 26, 1932 to Lloyd and Mary (Pounds) Parson.
Amaryllis and Donald Hickman were united in marriage on February 18, 1951. They were the owners and operators of Big Valley Meat Company in Barnard for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2012 and sister, Marilyn Godfrey.
Survivors are her children, Wesley Hickman (Janice) of McPherson, Dawn Stephens (Richard) of Salina, and Bryan Hickman (Terrie) of Minneapolis; brothers, Dale Parson (Par) of Yuma, AZ and Leo Parson (June) of Farmington, NM; sister, Marion Wooley (Sam) of Farmington, NM; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
It was her wishes to be cremated and no services be held. Memorials may be made to Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467, to assist with expenses.
