Allen D. Copple, 97, Delphos, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Nicol Home, Glasco. Allen was born April 30, 1914 in Delphos to Arthur and Grace (Kiser) Copple.
Allen was united in marriage with Clema L. Alderson in 1935 in Minneapolis. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2007. He was a farmer and he raised turkeys.
Besides his wife, Allen was preceded in death by an infant son Allen Dale Copple; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; and his siblings Pete, Lloyd, Bill, Donald, and Raymond Copple, Gladys Smith, Helen Alderson, and Ruth Thomas.
Survivors include his children Marvin Copple and his wife Ronalda, Beverly Thoman and her husband Austin, Patsy Appleby and her husband Gary, Joan Olson and her husband Doug all of Concordia, and Jody Merry and her husband Gerry of Delphos; his brother Arthur Copple of Minneapolis; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 P.M., Thursday at the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Nicol Home or Hospice Care of Kansas.
