Albert Lee "Pro" Prochaska, 80, Ada, Kansas, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. Pro was born September 1, 1930 to Albert and Mabel (Wesley) Prochaska.
Pro was united in marriage to Norma Gwendolyn Sidener on June 4, 1950. He was a farmer and stockman. Pro was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Ada and the Bohemian Lodge. He was a former member of the Ada Fire Department, the Ottawa County Museum Board, and the Fairview Cemetery Board. Pro was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma on September 11, 2006; two grandchildren Jonathan and Megan Clark; and one great-grandchild Miles Hosler.
Survivors include his children Brett Prochaska and his wife Rosie of Minneapolis, Pamela Barker and her husband Steve of Minneapolis, and Janette Clark and her husband Leland of Barnard; grandchildren Rachel Downs and her husband Michael, Sarah Prochaska-Carpenter and her husband Matt, Lois Prochaska-Frack and her husband Kevin, Seth Prochaska, Jennifer Hosler and her husband Nicholas, Anne Hall and her husband Adam, Patricia Barker, Meredith and Quentin Clark; great-grandchildren Preston and Lauren Hosler, and Olivia Downs.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M., Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, Ada with the Rev. Harry Fink officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Ada. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at Wilson Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis where the family will receive friends from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. Memorials may be made to the church or the Ottawa County Museum and may left in care of the funeral home.
