Obituary

Alan K. Jurgensmeier, 29, Bennington, died Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born February 11, 1987 in Salina to Charles and Kristine (Wagner) Jurgensmeier.

Alan was a 2005 graduate of Bennington High School. He then attended DeVry University before enlisting in the Army Reserves. Alan served for eight years and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Survivors include his parents, Charlie and Kris Jurgensmeier; daugthers Destiny and Annabella; sisters Amy Zeigler and husband Andy and Ashley Harclerode and husband Aaron; grandmothers Joan Jurgensmeier and Jean Wagner; and his brothers at heart, David and Nick Swetson.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 6 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday at the Bennington Bible Church. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery. The family kindly requests no flowers and ask that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
